Củ cải trắng và trái lê được rửa thật kỹ. Củ cải chẻ làm 4, thái lát mỏng 5mm. Tương tự trái lê chẻ làm 4, bỏ lõi, thái lát dày tương tự củ cải. Hạnh nhân ngâm vào nước cho mềm rồi bóc bỏ vỏ lụa.
Cho củ cải và lê đã cắt vào nồi nhỏ, đỏ nước ngập nguyên liệu, đun sôi. Sau đó cho hạnh nhân và đường phèn vào, hạ nhỏ lửa đun tiếp 30-35 phút là được.
